Blanson Hyperbaric Chamber Windows

Blanson specialises in the manufacture of large cast acrylic tubes for use in mono-place (single person) hyperbaric oxygen chambers and decompression chambers. We also manufacture acrylic viewports for multi-place chambers (2 or more people).

A hyperbaric chamber is a pressurised chamber that allows for delivery of oxygen in higher concentrations for therapeutic benefit. During Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) the patient breathes 100% oxygen while the pressure of the treatment chamber is increased to greater than one atmosphere absolute.

HBOT is used traditionally in treating decompression sickness and air embolism. It is also effective in treating carbon monoxide poisoning, enhanced healing in problem wounds, necrotizing soft tissue infections, skin grafts & flaps, thermal burns and other conditions.

The therapeutic principle of HBOT lies in a drastically increased partial pressure of oxygen in the tissues of the body and the increased oxygen transport capacity of the blood. Under atmospheric pressure, the haemoglobin of the red blood cells is almost saturated with oxygen and this route of transport cannot be exploited any further. Oxygen transport by plasma, however, is significantly increased under HBOT.

All hyperbaric windows are manufactured and certified according to ASME PVHO-1-2019 Safety Standard for Pressure Vessels for Human Occupancy.

We manufacturer Decompression Chambers, Hyperbaric Windows, Acrylic Chambers and more, for information on our products please feel free to contact us.
